The Abraxas Youth Center (AYC) is an excellent place to work for a number of reasons:
- Abraxas is a leader in the juvenile justice industry. There are over 30 Abraxas programs (residential and community based) in Pennsylvania alone.

- Because the Abraxas Youth Center is composed of four entirely separate programs (a shelter unit, a detention unit, a fire-setter unit, and an alternative education program), staff members have the opportunity to work with a very wide variety of residents in a number of different settings.
